This mandala was inspired by a Native American ritual called an Eagle Dance in which I participated. We were camped next to a lake with very loud bullfrogs. Frogs are supposed to be very shamanic. Their skin is very sensitive to their environment and they have the ability to live in two worlds. Some shamans are supposed to have the ability to jump into one lake and emerge from another. The stars represent the view as I emerged from a sweat lodge ceremoney. -Erik Mayer |

Shaman Circle is an affiliation of several shamanic circles in SE Michigan and the Surrounding areas (Greater Metro Area). We are a community dedicated to developing and promoting shamanic spirituality. Our intent is put people in touch with local groups and services that meet their needs and interests regarding shamanism. We offer a means for individuals to obtain knowledge and resources through networking and hands on experience.
Shaman Circle maintains a calendar of events and is a single point of contact for several shamanic circles. Affiliated groups and circles are strengthened through resource sharing and cooperation, and by maintaining a common list of related activities and events. A contact page is maintained for each affiliated group, with contact info and details. Most groups are open to new members and travelers! |
