Hi and welcome to the uniform page. Here you will find information about the Blues uniform and the Greens uniform. I will try to get some pics to make it easier for you to understand.
Blue Uniform:
There are two lots of blue uniform, a) Wedgewood Blue, b) Working Blue.
Wedgewood Blue:
This is number one part of the blue uniform. It is used for ceremonial parades such as Wing Field Day, ATC Sunday, Parade nights when a high ranking member/affiliate is present e.g.
Working Blue:
This is the number two part of the blue uniform. It is used for normal parade nights when normal duties are being carried out.
Green Uniform:
There are two parts to this uniform but, unlike the blue uniform, this one does not have a number one. It is used for initiative exercises, shooting, combat training and loads of other things. Part of the green uniform may also be webbing, if allowed by the squadron CO (Commanding Officer).
DPM:
DPM basically means Disruptive Patterned Material. DPM greens are usually worn when on initiative exercises or when on combat exercises / night exercises.
OG:
OG means Olive Green. These greens are normally worn when shooting or when a cadet doesn't possess a pair of combats (DPM's). The greens are not patterned in any way.
