FREE BASTING DESIGNS FOR THE DESIGNER 1

Donna Niederman has developed a design for basting in the large Designer I hoop. Those of you who can use the machine should test it out and let us know how it works. Donna states, "I have tested it and it seems to work. The only problem with it is that because it is done with the embroidery unit on the tension is a little loose. There isn't any way to tighten it. On the #1+, the basting is done in the hoop but it's not embroidery. This one is embroidery."

And from Lynn Downing: I have digitized 4 files I call "baste+". These files are 240x150, 100x100, 40 round and 100 round, for the 3 HV hoops. They are a 2 color stop design; color 1 starts at the center, runs first east, jumps to center and stop; runs north, jumps to center and stops; then west and south. This is for those who place from the center and baste outward to smooth out and line up the fabric. Color 2 is the perimeter. Advance to color stop 2 if you only want the perimeter basted.
