| A long time ago in a galaxy far far away... |
| Well, like many strange and scary things, it all began on the Weezer Message Boards. It was Christmas Night, yet there were still many visitors to the boards, me being one. I looked around and a post on a Weezer chat caught my eye. I clicked on it, and figured it was just another boring aim chat type thing. Nevertheless, it was christmas night and there was nothing else to do..so I clickitied. The chat was gray, and run by ops that didn't really participate in the chat. There were a few people there, the creator of the chat, JDym00, as well as Pichitachi, Orielly02, Funkykangaroo26, burning_candle, karmically_damaged, and jimmyeatweezer being some. Within seconds we were discussing hot germans, eyebrows, and marshmellow sushi. By the end of the night we felt like we've known each other for years. And that began Weezies 11. The name Weezies 11 came when we were discussing Oceans 11, a movie in which 11 people rob a casino. We decided if we had 11 Weezies we could rob a casino. So then whenever there were 11 people in chat we screamed out "Weezies 11!."! and That became our name. New members continued showing up and a few stayed forever, like SuperGrover and theRedalbum. Only a few managed to leave chat, but even they come back sometimes. It's more addicting then the best heroin. Within a few months, JDym00 decided to suddenly destroy our chatroom. Although he wasn't there very often, (mostly at girls sleepover parties and the like), he felt as if it should be gone, and we were suddenly stranded. We gathered in aim chats to hold us over for the couple days until Joe saved us. Joe owns the weezer source, that made him a god, and we loved him and he saved us and yeah, that was good. Now we're there, and wont leave, even when we should. -continued thanks to boredom- Now it is almost one year later and the weezie chat is still alive. The old owner, Joe, neglected the weezie chat and his screen name for over 3 weeks, resulting in the chat not being owned anymore. From there Pichitachi stepped in and little do the weezies know, but she actually owns the chat. Although the chat is not as popular with the weezies as it was in it's heyday, there are still the few "O.G." and "hardcore" weezies that frequent it. BACK |
