Despite the fact, that my mother tongue given to me by my
family, which at the time of my birth happened to be Russian, and
later for some mysterious reason, (which I will probably never reveal),
I got a strong feeling of interest towards… English language.
But far earlier,
as early as I could at the very first time recall myself from the
dark and warm abyss of childhood, I got the main interest of my life,
as it still is to this day, for aviation and flying.
Ultimately, I see
no wonder that both interests have since crossed paths. What's most thrilling,
this occurrence took place in such a specific TIME-SPACE clash (confrontation),
which I guess, you might recognize as somewhere and sometime behind
the IRON CURTAIN. And only nowadays, as recent as maybe a
couple of months, I've received a weak and ultimately delayed signal from
across this virtual border splitting our world in two. It was radioed
in a book by Richard Bach, also Stranger to the ground: |
And
as the days pass without war, I find myself asking if a pilot, because
of the political situation under which he lives, can possibly be
a totally different man from all the pilots living in all the political
systems across the earth. This man of mystery, this Russian pilot about whose life and thoughts I know so little, becomes in my mind a man not unlike myself… |
| So I got this vague call which has been transformed into a definite compulsion, a duty to respond, which is common in our flying fraternity. And soon after, these two crossed interests of mine eventually combined with
the third element, (or, maybe, the magic Fifth) - an eager
pursuit with PC, IT, and Web - made possible the advent of this site.
Without any more extra words,
SERGEI SERGIENKO, AIRLINE CAPTAIN |

The beginning of this March was featured by one outstanding event: THE FIRST EVER WESTERNERS visited our Home Base, I mean our REAL Home Base It was a family of Canadians, Don and Sheila MacArthur, who visited us; they have been our friends since 1999.
Being on contract work in the UAE, staying away from their loved Canada, they however jumped at the opportunity of exploring places around this part of the world - provided they have enough days off in a row. I can only guess to what degree they were amazed after seeing how tiny the 'workshop' is where all the 'virtual' HomeBase's files are generated and uploaded from. But we showed them much more beyond that, and going on this course, we even succeeded in what they themselves called "squeezing the most out of time".
And now see please their report on "squeezed time and space". |
