The agrarian community though the largest and most vital part of Indian economy is facing massive problems,

The country's infrastructure and policies were so far not conducive to profitable disbursement of the food surpluses generated. Scientific harvesting, storage, transportation, processing and exports are still under-developed areas,
Its own mismanagement and reliance on outdated technique and farming practices, lack of water management leaving the Indian farmers exposed to risks and losses.
The Strides made in Indian IT sector has not benefited largely the Indian agrarian economy. There is very few information system available to the farmer to help him improve his working conditions.
 Can IT help Indian Farmers?
