The Area

The Southeast part of New Brunswick is one of the most beautiful and dynamic areas in New Brunswick and, indeed, in the Atlantic region. Its hub is the City of Moncton. Two adjoining towns, Riverview and Dieppe, make the Greater Moncton area an attractive cosmopolitan urban area.

Southeast New Brunswick also includes semi-rural areas such as Memramcook, with its rich Acadian heritage; Shediac/Cap Pelé, with its beautiful white sand beaches; and Kent South, where you can relive regional history and visit world-class tourist attractions. Also in Southeast, Albert County boasts the Rocks, the most widely visited tourist attraction in New Brunswick.

You will find in New Brunswickers a friendly and welcoming people. Southeast New Brunswick is a model of bilingualism for the whole of Canada. You will find two linguistic groups working side-by-side in developing a dynamic economy while nurturing a rich quality of life.

The championships will be held in five local arenas. The main venue will be the Jean-Louis Leveque arena, located on the beautiful campus of l’Université de Moncton. Other arenas to be in operation for the competition include the Byron Dobson arenas in Riverview; the Dud James arena in Moncton; and the Arthur J. LeBlanc arena in Dieppe. Maximum driving time between any of the rinks is 20 minutes (allow additional time during peak traffic hours).
