This dark world called pessimism seems to be captivating me
Holding me back
Taking control of my emotions
Being the hours and minutes to my days
Controlling the thoughts in my brain
Following me during the day
Frightening through the night
Its closing in on me
Turning my every light into darkness
Creating an end to every beginning
Turning every sweetness into sour
Overwriting my happiness into pain
It wont let me go and find what I must be
It wont let me go and seek
But instead causes me to weep
It has become my shadow
following me everywhere

Concerntrate on me

Not anymore will this dark world encave me
Cause I now I see this promising light called "hope"
