    Imported Dimensions

After importing a dwg file, some dimensions appeared as failed, How to rectify this ?

    - Rufus L. West <info@westech.au>

You can re-attach a detached or failed dimension.

Click to select the dimension. Its handles will appear.

Keeping Alt pressed, drag and drop the handle extensions line handle onto an existing element.

The dimension will be attached to the new element and will turn green which is the default color for fully defined dimensions.

    Retrieve dimensions to hidden lines

When I use the retrieve dimensions, dims to hidden lines not in retrieved ?

    - George Winston < catchgeorge@windson.ca>

In the Retrieve Dimensions, click the Options button on the Ribbon bar.

Turn Retrieve dimensions to hidden lines ON.

    Split Window

How Can I split a Solid Edge Draft Window like in Word or Works ?

    - Maxwell Roman <maxcad@freehost.uk >

Although its not so elegant as in Word/Excel, this is doable.

In the menubar, select Window > New Window.

In the menubar again, select Window > Arrange...

Select Horizontal in the dialog box.

Note that this is not same as opening the same file twice with a read-only mark.

Now you can zoom into distant areas of the same sheet and draw a line that starts in one window and ends in another window without even having to click a single time to switch between the windows. This is fantastic !
