    Radial Dimensions

    How can I dimension a Circle's Radius ? How can I Dimension an Arc's Diameter ?

    - Edgardo Roe <wbbj@ayona.com>

By default, Solid Edge will dimension Circle's Diameters and Arc's Radii.

If you wish to override these, select the Radius     option for the circle on the ribbon bar.

Or the Diameter     option for the arc.

These options are available when the circle or arc is picked but the dimension not yet placed.

Additionally, if you move the cursor to specific positions, the radial dimension switches to linear mode for the circle.

    See figure.

Further, if you keep the Shift key pressed, the linear dimension can be placed for the circle in any position.

    See figure.

    Relocate Section Line

How do I relocate my Section Line ?

    - Brian B. Baker <bakerbb@hotmail.com>

Section lines are essentially sketched items and can be easily relocated by simple dragging if they are not already constrained.

To relocate a section line, click and highlight it.

Click Edit button on the ribbon bar.

This takes you to the sketcher mode.

Delete any constraints and move the entities that form the section line.

    Click Finish when done.

Back in the Draft environment, click the Update View     tool on the Drawing Views toolbar.

    Counting Part

How can I Count Parts in Assemblies ?

    - Delma Bredernitz <delma_bredernitz_2000@asooma.com>

    Select Tools > Reports

    A dialog box will appear.

Select one of the four options available and click OK.
