ISABELLA BLOW BIO BY NICKY LONDON

English born style icon Isabella Blow is famous for wearing outrageous, glamorous custom made hats by Philip Treacy. An exhibition entitled, “When Philip met Isabella”, featured some of the incredible creations Philip designed for his muse Isabella. It included an 18th century French ship hat with full rigging made from miniature buttons, and the Castle, inspired by Blows ancestral home at Doddington, Cheshire and Ludwig of Bavaria’s magnificent palace. Isabella has worked for magazines such as American Vogue, The Face and Vogue Italia. She is currently the director at Tattler magazine and has helped launch the careers of many designers, most notably Alexander McQueen and Philip Treacy. Other designers include Julien Macdonald and Hussein Chalayan.
