WHAT IS SECRET SAUCER?
Secret Saucer is a modern space rock “All Star Band” whose members have:
-toured with Hawkwind, Nik Turner, Pressurehed/Farflung
-recorded with Star Nation, Nick Riff
-are/were members of Star Nation, Quarkspace, Architectural Metaphor, Church of Hed, National Steam, and Sun Machine.
On our debut CD,"Element 115", the musicians got together for one weekend and JAMMED! People just picked up whatever instrument they felt like playing at the time and jammed, therefore the music is pure improvisational spacerock/krautrock. Over a dozen hours of music was recorded, but has been distilled down to our first CD. These are not mindless, wandering spacejams but cohesive and focused. If you like Hawkwind, Pink Floyd, Ozric Tentacles, Ash Ra Tempel, Gong, Amon Duul II, Nektar, Camel, Porcupine Tree, or Eloy, you will LOVE the CD! It was released on Dead Earnest Records out of Scotland in October, 2005.
