Alabama Points

Welcome to Alabama Points. This site will be dedicated to the display of artifacts from the Heart Of Dixie. This will cover points, tools, and other artifacts from the northernmost to the southernmost counties. All of these points were legally obtained. Some are personal finds and others were bought or traded for. For twenty years I was a Land Surveyor in Tallahassee, Florida. That allowed me to find a few artifacts while working. We also have a small family farm in south Alabama where the peanut fields have yielded a few points. Many of the artifacts shown at this site were found there.
One concern I would like to discuss is the image of artifact collectors. Right now in some locations the rights of citizens to collect are being taken away. Our image has a blemish or two on it. Some of this is through sensationalized journalism and some is justified. If you are a collector it is of the utmost importance that you are always within the confines of all laws. The future of this great hobby depends on it. It might also be in all of our best interest for you to introduce a youngster to collecting and help them learn about this continent's earliest occupants. That could possibly be the best thing anyone could do to help the future of artifact collecting. Once again, I hope that you enjoy your visit and plan to return soon. God bless.
