A Red VL

I look happy don't I? Why, you ask?

You may or may not have noticed the fine piece of engineering that I have my posterior firmly planted on. That's right!!! It's my new car! Actually it's 10 years old but it's new to me and that's what counts.

Well, I finally got rid of the piece of crap that I had been driving around in for the last 4 years and lashed out and bought a car that wasn't older than me. A 1988 'Limited Edition' VL Holden Commodore. The 'Limited Edition' doesn't mean much. You get some nice body striping, a couple of extra badges (which are missing from mine, after a re-spray, presumably) and a Berlina/Calais style instrument cluster. So basically it's an SL with a tacho and central locking. It's a quantum leap for me to own a car that doesn't have any rust, at least not any visible rust. Not yet anyway...

Let's have a picture...

And another one just for good measure...
