I am Project

When I first read over the types of learning I classified myself as a Linguistic Learner and an Interpersonal Learner. After the completion of the quick and easy survey I also found myself to learn well with Kinesthetic teaching methods incorporated into the lessons.       Some aspects of learning that I do not relate to are Spacial Learning and Intrapersonal Learning.        I am not exeptionally good at imagining things. Drawing diagrams and pictures do not help me learn something faster.       While I can work on my own, I feel the need to compare the results with others. I have also found group discussions to be helpful in understanding the curriculum. With this understanding I classify myself as a Interpersonal learner.        Being the Linguistic person I am, memorization comes easily to me. I also enjoy physical models that I can touch and hold -  otherwise it doesn't seem real to me. I also relate well to learning concepts through movement.          To help me better understand Chemistry the incorporation of my leaning styles into the class would greatly benefit me. Some ideas for incorporation into the class are listed below... -Comparing one concept to another, linking them. -Involve movement in every class to keep my attention and premote learning. An example would be showing chemical bonding through role play. -Reading handouts that support what we are doing in class. -Group projects that involve working alone,  then grouping to compare and discuss findings. -Stating what you expect for each assignment, then writing it on the board or confirming that we understand.            Assessment of group projects may be hard, yet do-able. Creating a self assesment rubric and/or peer assessment  rubric for every group project and especially for those projects done alone would allow you to check up on how we think we are doing. The final project should clearly state what is expected, and the grading should be based on that, with class discussion about the project supplemented by handouts.

I am a soccer player, an enjoyer of everything sweet and an opera lover. I adore soft little animals. I sometimes over-feed my puppy because she gives me those sad eyes that i simply can't resist.       I am a very terrible speller!       I adore children, I aspire to be a Pediatrician when I grow up, to help the children that are unwel. I want to be a mother.       I am a traveler, and hope to travel back to the places I have been and to new places I only dream about.        I love Science-hopefully evident by all of the courses i have taken and all the programs in my free time i take part in.        I am a bubbily person, and given the right joke, random song or saying; my laughter is inevidable. (Words are chosen carefully considering Mr. Perrins and Mr. Norens jokes are sometimes a little to eccentric even for me!)
