The Interpretaion of Dreams Psyche-study by Dreams

(1) Dreams take place in sessions, each session starting with a gap of 1.5 hours, starting at 1.5 hours after beginning of sleep with REM that is the sign that a dream is in progress.

(2) Dreams increase in length as the sleep progresses though the depth of sleep decreases with this progress.

(3) Dreams mostly guide us to our hopes and fear, even presenting solutions to the adverse situation that we face at the time of dreams.

(4) Dreams have the sole purpose to guide us to understanding ourselves so that we may better ourselves morally for a better life after this worldly life.

(5) Dreams may show the same message by two or three dreams that come in sequence. Similarly a dream may be interpreted in two or three ways all being correct in their own plane. Dreams are remembered only when a person awakes at their progress and due to this some people think that they see very few dreams which is a mistaken impression.

(6) Dreams have the power to disclose the future. However it needs a man who is truthful by nature to get dreams for future events that show collective matters and if a person is attentive to his dreams they tend much towards telling him the individual and collective events of future.

(7) Dreams that disclose the future tend to have symbols in them and important messages relating to personal traits or even to future are often given in plain words by some character in the dream.

(8) Dreams that comprise of some work that are typical with regards to hope and fear, consist of:

(a) Travelling - means living the life as life is a travel of a person and matters that are denoted in travel are the matters of life at hand, so missing the vehicle of travel is being late to destination and as such it is missing an opportunity to reach a better position in life or it is missing of the event of death, the end of worldly life.

The opposite of climbing i.e. falling, if seen in dreams, mean to lose a good position held, though if both climbing and falling seen in a dream at one time is mostly sexual in nature.

(d) Flying - means efforts are needed to end the problems at hand and with conscious attempt in right direction, they are not difficult to resolve.

(f) Committing Crime and Getting Punishment - means some wrong has been committed by the dreamer and he understands this well and so he is prepared to inflict the punishment on him that is the logical result of the wrong committed.

(g) Giving Examination - means the examination of life that we all are giving as we are born here to show that we really deserve the Paradise that Adam, Salam on him, lost so the success in this examination of life is the true success that awaits us after this life. At a lesser plane, examination means some trying matter that is at hand and that needs tackling well so as to keep the life stable.

(h) Rescuing - means the dreamer wants to show the world that he is capable of performing some amazing feat and may disclose that he feels that the people are neglecting him or not appreciating his traits. Being rescued is getting security and with women it is more so than with men.

(e) Hearing or Writing a Statement - means the statement given by anyone in dream is the message of the dream in plain words though some words may have the meaning that are particular to the dreamer and not as in dictionary.

(9) The “Nouns” that are typical in dreams and mostly denote a similar meaning for all dreamers are:

(a) Belongings that are upon the body of a male dreamer denotes his wife while of a female dreamer, denotes her husband. This includes dress, ornaments, cuffs etc. However, if these things are not at the body and seen torn or dirty they may denote loss of a good position held by the dreamer.

(b) Strange Fair Persons denote Angels and they show some information about the place they are seen in, that is mostly of adverse nature.

(c) Sky denotes a place that is in front of every one so if one sees himself at the sky he would get fame in some way but sky also denotes the world beyond so this concept would also be given weight in interpretation of dreams and a person who enters the sky may die with honour if he is a good person.

(i) Water flowing in small quantity like a canal or a spring denotes the dreamers individual life while water in large quantity like waterfall, river, sea etc. denotes collective life and the matters that happen in them in the dream are the matters of collective and social life. To bathe with water is good as it denotes cleaning of spirtual ills. To collect water maybe good as the dreamer maybe securing his good deeds, or it maybe bad as it may denote collecting worldly things being selfish without care for others.

(j) Bricks denote all relatives of the dreamer that inhabit the same house where he lives. Also, all such things that are seen at a place denote the dwellers of that place like pots and pans seen in a room denote the dwellers of the house who specially are related to that particular room.

(n) Milk, Honey and Clear Syrup denote Knowledge of High Quality and even Wisdom. To drink from these is to gain Wisdom and that is wonderful though to bathe from these is not as good because that denotes to try to become free from sins without applying High Knowledge as it ought to be applied and this is done with much trial but without much result.

(o) Parts of Body denote relatives, partners and work-fellows. If any part is separated then a person known would go away from the dreamer (however, if a known person is lost in dreams and can’t be found, he would leave the way of his colleagues and live his own way). Loss of hair and nails that are usually cut off from the body denote loss of some position held by the dreamer and if filth is seen on the body, it is gain of worldly goods through known persons but through evil means. If some thing emits from any place of the body that is beneficial to people, it denotes the good effect of some long lasting good deed done by the dreamer that would go on benefitting people even after his death and if the thing emitted is adverse to people, it denotes some long lasting evil effect of a wrong committed by the dreamer that would continue even after his death. Seeing a part of the body enlarged denotes extensive usage of that part and seeing any part shrunk denotes its low usage. If a part of the body is taken away by a deceased person, it denotes death of the dreamer or the death of one of his relatives. However if the thing taken is some goods then material loss is denoted.

(p) Money seen in much quantity denotes gain of a position that is much related to handling money and possessions. (r) A Pretty Girl when seen by a male dreamer denotes the pleasantness of the present time of his life and the near future. If the pretty girl is dancing or looking wonderful, it denotes that the coming year or so would be wonderful for the dreamer. Probably, a handsome man has the same meaning for a female dreamer, specially if he is dancing well.

(s) Birds & Animals denote persons of that very nature and they are known persons to the dreamer if their number is clearly seen or known. Hunting animals and attacking birds show hard-natured persons and birds that are taken representative of love and peace like pigeons and doves show soft-natured persons. The animals that were used for ploughing denote persons who work hard for their living and when an emphasis on their number is presented they denote economic position in coming years of life according to the number given. Animals like cow, goat etc. that are often eaten in actual life show clean worldly gains through good known people while Male & Female animals denote the similar gender for human. Dogs and its kind are selfish and greedy persons though these may take action sometimes against some social evil but only when their own interest is threatened by it. Cats and its kind are thieves and looters though lion may denote a person with much authority while snakes and scorpions are enemies of the dreamer. Monkeys and swines denote evil persons while mice denote michievous persons who want to create trouble by different ways. Insects are weak persons or the dreamers’ desires that interfere in his way of life who often tend to help the enemies of the dreamer while dragon is a person who would fight on for what he takes to be the rightness. Horses denote very active persons though they may be such persons who hurt others feelings by their actions knowingly or unknowingly. Fish are noble women or material benefits from noble women that the dreamer gets without any effort. Frogs are good people who want the world to be a better place but when frogs are seen all over the place they may denote a natural disaster at the place due to wrong doings of the people there.

(t) Scales denote justice and Iron denotes handling of people strictly who are against the prevalence of justice. Scales may also denote business transactions that benefit the dreamer in every manner.

(u) Colours denote the same that is felt in the dream for the colour seen by the dreamer. Often feelings denote the nature of the dream well so the dream that soothes the dreamer is something good and the dream that troubles him has the similar meaning for him when awake.

If we do understand and remember these remarks on dreams well, they are surely capable to make us interpret them well so that we can make ourselves better people to live with and the world a better place to live in.
