My dear friend and brother/sister in the Lord!

Try the spirits! How? With the Bible as your only starting point!
Besides the Bible, the teaching of the SDA is based on a very high stack of books with tenets These tenets the Bible must be adapted to.

The precept of the SDA is: Try the teaching with Ellen G. White and the law! See: What Shall I do to Inherit Eternal Life? by Margaret Davis, page. 162. The precept of the Christian is:
Try the teaching with the Word, the Bible!
The SDA call themselves “The Spiritual Israel”. They believe that the laws of Old Israel apply to the spiritual Israel. Therefore they also see the Sabbath as the sign of God’s true church. But today, the sign of God’s church is not the Sabbath but the spirit. See: Phil 3:3, chapter 1, verse 13, and chapter 4 verse 30.
Thus, the spiritual Israel of the New Testament is constituted by those who without the law, in faith, grab hold of salvation in Jesus Christ. See Gal 3:24-26 and Eph 2:11-22.
By claiming that the teaching of the SDA, as the foremost of all teachings, is based on the preaching of the “cross of Golgotha”, the SDA are deceiving other Christians and people.

The way the Bible teaches about the cross of Golgotha is that redemption is attained through the faith in that Jesus’ sacrifice releases from all sin and cleanses all depravity by virtue of mercy only. Yes, everything is only by mercy, without deeds. See Eph 2:8 and Rom 4:6

The SDA’s teaching implies redemption through deeds:

Maintaining the holy Sabbath, paying of tithe and many other things, such as the writings, clothing, food and drink of EGW, etc. Yes, the SDA take their redemptive deeds so far that they ultimately feel they can release themselves from Jesus. They claim that completeness may be achieved in an incomplete body, by virtue of the power of the cross of Golgotha. See: What Shall I do to Inherit Eternal Life? By Margaret Davis, pages 263-264.

The Gospel of the SDA:

The Christ in the law, see the same book page 245. The Gospel of the Bible: Grace through the Christ or the law without the Christ. See Gal 5:4

1844:

the SDA refute Jesus’ testimony that redemption was completed on the cross. No, say the SDA, it was only in 1844 that redemption was completed. See: Message to the Congregation, (Danish edition) page 56.
If you show the SDA that Jesus, according to the Hebrews 9:24, entered the holy places in past time, the answer is: Yes, but that was a long time ago. 1844 is past time. The SDA can hardly be as narrow-minded as to think that any part of the Bible was written after 1844.

The trinity teaching of the SDA:

The tablets of stone, the ten commandments!

The SDA claim that the tablets of stone, the ten commandments, are eternal. Yes, that is certainly true for those with a petrified intellect. The thought is, however, dismissed by the New Testament, the Christian testament. See e.g. Rom 10:4. But the teachings of the SDA are based on EGW and the Old Testament.

The Resurrection

The SDA teaches that not everyone will rise from the dead. See Spiritual gifts 1858, pages 193 and 276. But the Bible teaches that everyone will rise from the dead! See John 5:28.

The subtle teachings of the SDA:

As the chameleon that may take several colours at the same time, the SDA has adapted to the increasing awareness about them here in Western Europe, whereas in Eastern Europe, the state of affairs is still 50 years behind. For example, the teaching about 1844 was a teaching for beginners here in Western Europe 50 years ago. It still is in Eastern Europe, whereas here in Western Europe there are young Adventists who have no idea that the year 1844 has anything to do with the SDA.

THE RETURN OF THE CHRIST

According to the teaching of the SDA, God’s people will be notified before the day and hour of Jesus’ return. See Message to the Congregation (Danish edition) page 23.
According to the SDA, those who lived in 1856 will not die out before the return of Jesus. See: “It shall happen at the end of time” (Danish edition) by E.G. White, page 38.
According to the teaching of the SDA, the 144,000 who are mentioned in Rev 7:1-8 are the Adventists who will be alive when Jesus returns. Where in the Bible is this mentioned?

SDA Studies

I have participated in a SDA study, where the introductory prayer said: “Lord, help us to understand that this is the truth”! In other words: a search through the Bible for proof of that which has been found in EGW’s writings. This is how hardened the heart of the studying Adventist is, wishing to teach God about the truth. That is what Cain also attempted!

SABBATH, NEW MOON AND TITHE

The SDA argues that the Sabbath must be celebrated, because it was celebrated also in Eden, in the Old Israel, and it will be celebrated on The New Earth. When they are then shown Isaiah 66:23, where the new moon is mentioned in the same way as the Sabbath, the argument becomes the stone tables, the ten commandments. However, SDA priests have managed well in telling the members that they (the priests) demand 10% of the members’ income. Where in the ten commandments is this to be found?

INTIMIDATING PROPAGANDA

The management of the SDA carries out intimidating propaganda such as:
a) It is dangerous to read anything else but SDA literature!
b) It is dangerous to be in contact with former members!
c) Former members become increasingly amoral!
In connection with the third point, I wish to mention one of the entertainment films that approx. 45 years ago was shown at a SDA institution, Skodsborg badsanatorium in Denmark. The advertisement for it was: “This film is very amorally constructive.” In this context, I also want to mention my visit some years ago to a SDA institution where I had lived more than 40 years ago. There, an older member said to me: “Well, Kurt, when you lived here, it was unsuitable for unmarried couples to cohabit, but now everyone is doing it!”
With this in mind it is not unreasonable to presume that some may also leave the SDA in order not to have their morals corrupted!

Which way do the Adventists turn their cross?

Yes, on the outside of their churches it is turned up, but elsewhere I have seen it upside down. Yes, the Adventist cross of Golgotha is truly enveloped in a heavy and dense mist!
Read more on: www.friendsofmarit.homestead.com and: www.oocities.org/sda info2 Several Adventists have told me: “Nothing can be done about that which Marit’s friends write about”. But with these words, the management of the SDA is actually accused of having fabricated the missionary tales.

CALL

I can only encourage our friends in the SDA to turn away from the SDA’s teaching, to the Gospels of the Bible: Salvation in Jesus, and only in him, freedom in the Christ. See: Gal 5:13.
If you had understood the message in John 3:16, Acts 4:12 and 1Cor 13, you would not have said that one can do as one likes, go against the Christ. Therefore I mention Paul’s words: “He (Jesus) abolished in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations”. Eph 2:15
Dear Friend! Jesus loves you! Come as you are to your Saviour. Amen!
Before you return to go from door to door, begging money for the “mission” of the SDA, demand a written clarification for the above mentioned from the SDA’s management. Thank you!

NB: A group belonging to the SDA that calls itself the Café Church, has scrapped EGW. But they have substituted her for a questionable spirit!
