Welborn, William Elbert, Captain, born 8 July 1817, Anderson, SC, married Harriett "Happy" Richardson (27 April 1820-4 Aug. 1892), died 8 May 1902, Pickens County, and is buried in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery, Pickens County. He later served in First (1st) Regiment South Carolina State Troops (Aug 1863 - Feb 1864) as a major. His tombstone states he was a Colonel. Contact:
