Research Project Summary
In this research project I have learned so much about scouting in Catawba County. Through the research I have done I now realize much more how important Boy Scouting is to our county. Also, when you consider the fact that all my research has been primarily faced on Boy Scouting, you realize that there are even more good things happening through Cub Scout packs, Venture crews, and Explorer posts. I thought I knew everything there was to know about scouting since I am a scout myself, but I now realize there are things you'd never know about any topic unless you get out there and search for it. Another thing I've noticed while doing my website was the lack of information there was out on the Internet about scouting in Catawba County. I originally figured on just hopping on the Internet for a while and finding everything I needed, but when I sat down to do this I realized what a mistake I'd made. That's why I tried to make this site as good as possible, so that it can serve to help someone find information if they are ever doing a project like this. Realizing all of the lack of information has also sparked me to create a website for my troop, and although it is just getting started I can already see the good things that are destined to come from it.
