Jim's Old Outboard Site
This site is dedicated to the preservation of old outboard motors and the people who love to restore and run them. The Scott Outboard to include Scott-Atwater, Scott-McCulloch, and Sears Ted Williams (Scott-McCulloch) tiller control is my favorite.  I also own several other old outboards that I like to tinker with.  But any outboard from the 60's era is okay with me.
The photos to the left are of my completed restoration of a 1967 9hp Sears Ted Williams.  This outboard belonged to my father and I have a lot of good memories of fishing and camping with my father and this outboard.  It was certainly a labor of love as the parts are kind of difficult to locate.  I owe a lot of gratitude to the Scott Guy, Don Webb and Mr. Ben Terwillegar.  Click here to see Ben's latest project! Click here to see Ben's 7.5hp McCulloch.
Here's a little information about me.  I'm a retired  military man with 23 years of active duty service (just retired).  I like to tinker with anything mechanical so working on outboard motors was a natural for me.  My prior mechanical experience came from working on motorcycles, cars, helicopters, and jet aircraft.  My first priority in my life is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to whom I owe my life.  You can find out more about Him at your local church body or by clicking here.  My second priority is my wife of 23 years and my seven beautiful children.  If I have time left over from serving my Lord and family, then I work on my outboards :>)
If you're looking to find parts or information on a Scott outboard, I suggest you click on the link for the Scott Guy.  Also visit the Antique Outboard Motor Club for information on all makes.
This boat, in my opinion, would be the ultimate find!

Hello All. Due to the busyness of my schedule and the enormous quantity of the emails I recieve daily I have to close my email address and classified section of this website.  I've been considering this move for a while now and now the time has come.  I've enjoyed emailing everyone who's written.  I'll leave the classifieds up for a while but eventually they will also disappear.  I have never made money on this site other than sending folks copies of manuals I have.  It's been fun. Good bye:>)  God Bless!
