Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
I pray that your knowledge of the gospel has increased, and you are able to discern and approve what is excellent, pure and blameless for the day of Christ. That you be filled with the fruits of righteousness that came through Jesus Christ. I am sure that God who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ, for we are all partakers of grace.
As God is working in you to do His will; to glorify His name, you must also work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Do not grumble and question, "Why does this had to happen to me?" God did not promise us a bed of roses. There will be persecution along the way. For example, now I am in prison. It is all right, for it is for the glory of Christ Jesus.
Hold fast to the word of salvation and shine as lights in the world. At all times look out for heretics, they usually claim to have impeccable credentials. Just stay united and continue to strive for the gospel without fear. Look out for one another. With humility, respect one another. This courage and unity is a clear signal to our opponents that our belief is true.
Remember that Christ was willing to come down to earth as a man. How he was humiliated and suffered the ultimate shame? Dying on the cross as an outcast. However we know for a fact that He triumphed over all these and was acclaimed as Lord and King of our universe.
Do not be discouraged by your failures, as we are all imperfect. Do not let this stop you from pressing forward in righteousness. Forget the wrongs you have committed in the past. God has already forgiven you why do you not forgive yourself? Keep on walking forward, for you belong to Christ Jesus. Our commonwealth is in heaven. There, Jesus Christ will change our lowly body to a glorious one.
Those who set their mind on earthly things will never make it. For your day-to-day living have no anxiety about your situation. Bring them to God in pray and thank Him for whatever state you are in. Think positive - honourable, pure, loveliness, graciousness, excellence - and praise God. You will then find that God will bless you with a peace that passes all understanding. A peace that will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
I have learnt this. I learnt the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and want. In all these situations I always felt blessed and Christ Jesus would give me strength. My God will supply me every need according to the riches and glory in Christ Jesus.
