This web site is for all band students of Theodore Schor Middle School and their parents. A web master is needed for 2002-2003. Please volunteer if you know a little about html and last year's web guru will be glad to help.Just e mail schorschoolband@yahoo.com to volunteer!
Best of luck and continued success to our graduating 8th grade band students as they enter high school. If they're headed for the Marching Band, remind them not only about sunscreen, but bug spray, too!
Congratulations to Mr. Tom Seeland for completing another year at Schor School and making it a  successful musical year for our children.
.Congratulations to the Schor School Jazz Band for scoring a superior in the Band Festival in Rye, NY on June 6,  2002! The students performance was superior and even the band parent chaperones had a good time, sorta! Click here for remarks overheard on the trip.
We'd like to extend a warm welcome to all incoming 6th grade band students to Schor School! We hope to see you all at the first BPA meeting in September. Look for the flyer we'll be sending home in September with the date of the meeting.

Thank you to all of the wonderful band students we've met through the years. We wish all of the luck, success, and happiness in the future to our graduating class. To the 7th, 6th, and incoming 5th graders, keep up the tradition of superior music at Schor Middle School!

The Band Parents Association got off to a disorganized start last year, and needs strong leadership if it hopes to help promote the music program in Schor School. Sign up to be a band parent and take interest in what your child is doing in school, and you might find yourself making new friends and enjoying yourself as well. I know I enjoyed the time I spent with the student's families these past few years.

Best of luck to whoever steps into our shoes -  you will need it to keep pace with Mr. Seeland's habits of planning, forgetting about, then racing to get a trip planned at the last minute. Watching him rummage through his pockets for missing permission slips, cash, checks, and baby shower invitations was quite a learning experience. He really needs a personal secretary more than a Band Parent President!

Thank you -
