THE BEAUTY OF A WOMAN

The beauty of a woman
Is not in the clothes she wears
The figure that she carries,
Or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman
Must be seen from in her eyes,
Because that is the doorway to her heart,
The place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman
Is not in a facial mole,
But true beauty in a woman
Is reflected in her soul.
It is the caring that she lovingly gives,
The passion that she shows,
And the beauty of a woman
With passing years.... only grows!

TO BEND

Into this day, I have began my walk, stepping gingerly on this path before me.
One must not be too careful.
It is easy to stray from the boundaries, and if not to stray,
perhaps to stumble on some small stone that was kicked upon this path
by some recent pilgrim.
Determined to walk this path without error,
you find your eyes straying to some bright flower or delicate leaf.
Impulsively you stop to touch, but your mind reminds you of the time
and time must be kept.
And so, you pass those things that tell much about your soul
and choose to walk ahead;
neither to the left or to the right.
Your journey ends and you are at rest,
but your thoughts are on those things that taught you how to bend.
