100 NIGHTS AT THE ROXY  -  BY JOE DONNELLY -

30 years have went by in the blink of an eye since we first encountered and participated in the life changing phenomena called punk rock , scarey isn't it . So as we approach christmas 07 I thought that it would be a fitting tribute to both celebrate and bring the curtain down on this anniversary by taking another look back to the way we wore all those years ago in 77 via these super rare fan photos from the long out of print book and one of the holy grails of punk memorabillia. "100 nights at the Roxy by Michael Dempsey " ( with contrbutions from Ralf Jedraszczyk ,Andrew Czezowski , Barry Johns ) And while we are waiting on the "100 nights at the Roxy" book to get a reprint which looks very unlikely, you could do a lot worse than spend your money on the just published and excellent "The Roxy WC2 a punk history" by Paul Marko which tells the whole story and will more than fill the gap  . The book was recently reviewed and the author interviewed by Robert Elms ( a name very familiar to Blitz Kids visitors ) on BBC radio London and he raved about it . You know what to ask Santa for .
