When Declan was 14 he joined YOG 'Youth Opparetta Group' where he started in many shows for example Boy Band and Westside Story. At the age of 17 Declan wrote and directed his own musical called 'Confusteristics', he then went on too join the Nation Youth Music Theater as Sir James Marlowe in the 'Kissing Dance'.
At 18 Declan was on a UK mid-morning show called 'This Morning' where he was in a stunt to produce a boy band live on national TV. The public could vote and Declan got in the final 10 out of over 500 people. After his apprence the show, Declan got an offer he couldnt refuse. He was asked to join the pop/rock group Point Break in July 1999 with other members Brett Adams and David Oliver. During his tiem in Point Break Declan was famous for his never ending change of hair styles and his piercing blue eyes. They produced 5 top 20 singles and a top 30 album called 'Apocadelic' and achived a No.1 in 3 countires. In December 2000 Declan decided to leave Point Break with only being in the band for over a year. During his time in Point Break, Declan gained a HUGE fan base of devoted fans who he is aware and extremly proud of and have supported him through out.
In 2001 Declan was doing London's acoustic circit with his solo material. And then he got the part in the top 10 hit musical 'Taboo'. Declan was to play Guru Dazzle, and suited the part well with his famous shaved head. Now in 2002 Declan is still in Taboo but not going to be playing such a small character any more, he will be playing Billy orgianally played by Luke Evans, on the 9th Septmeber until Christmas.
After Taboo is finished with Declan hope's to release some of his solo material if everything goes well. So im sure this is not going to be the last we see of Declan Bennett, and he will be around for years to come.
