To make a bracelet similar to the one above, you need to use a beading loom and seed beads. If you don't have a beading loom, you can make the bracelet using square stitch. The Hello Kitty and Mimi patterns are from the Strawberry News. I modified those instructions to also include the other characters I have pictured here. The bracelet pictured above is about 7" long. Exclude one or more characters to shorten the length. To lengthen, include more rows of background color between the characters or use some characters more than once. Each pattern is 13 beads wide.

The background color can be a different color than what I have pictured. Just be sure to use a color that does not border on the background. For example, in the bracelet I have pictured, a black background would be fine, but a white one would not work (Hello Kitty's face is white).

Here is the color reference chart and bead patterns (Click on the link or thumbnail to view the full-size pattern image):

Materials Needed:
Beading loom
Seed beads in various colors
Thread
Beading needle
Bracelet clasp
Scissors

Instructions:
Step 1: Choose the characters that you want to put on your bracelet. A typical bracelet will consist of 3-5 characters, depending on the size of your wrist.
Step 2: Gather the appropriate colors of seed beads, according to the colors in the pattern you have chosen.
Step 3: Thread the bead loom with 14 lengths of thread.
Step 4: Bead the choosen patterns (refer to the bead loom's instructions for more details).
Step 5: To finish the bracelet, carefully cut one end of each length of thread and string a few seed beads (approx. 1/2") onto that thread. Then, gather all the threads from one end and tie together. Do the same for the other end.
Step 6: Attach a clasp to the bracelet and it's ready to wear!
