"Everyone , republican or otherwise, has his or her own part to play".Bobby Sands.

"You cannot conquer Ireland. You cannot extinguish the Irish passion for freedom. If our dead has not been sufficient to earn Irish Freedom, then our children will win it by a better deed." Patrick Pearse at his court martial,May 2 , 1916.

In 1981, ten Irish Republicans undertook a fast to retain their political status and to fight for human rights worldwide.
Led by the gallant Bobby Sands, they gave their lives so that others may be free.Margaret Thatcher stayed stubborn while diplomats around the world called for political status.British embassies around the world were attacked and Union Jacks were burnt as the world made its feelings known about the oppresive British government.
These men were ordinary men born into extraordinary circumstances were they had to chose whether to be oppresed and harassed,or stand up and fight against bigotry.
"They gave their lives so that others may be free."

"A man can have no greater love for his friends than to lay down his life for them."
Kieran Docherty

"If they aren't able to destroy the desire for freedom, they won't
break you. They won't break me because the desire for freedom,
and the freedom of the Irish people, is in my heart. The day will
dawn when all the people of Ireland will have the desire for
freedom to show.

It is then we'll see the rising of the moon."
