| This is my place on the world wide web. Sometimes I like to be alone with my thoughts - and with two kids, pets and two households to run, this is not always possible. So now I have created my own space in cyberworld where I can be me and think about things I want to think about without anyone else butting in. But you can join me here if you like and find out more about me and my likes and dislikes, etc. See the beautiful Red Persian Cat on my lap in the photograph below? I named him Merlin because he was such a magical cat - he managed to persuade my ex husband to let me take him home - he had to have some kind of magic for that to happen. (You may realise, my ex did not like cats very much - he is a bird breeder) One evening Merlin did not come in for dinner and I assumed because he was around 6mnths old, that he may be out on the tiles, so to speak, so I didn't worry too much about him. That night, I left the door and some windows open for him to come in. Next morning he still wasn't home. That night, I started phoning the neighbours, and the local SPCA - was just too late to put an ad in the paper. The following afternoon, my ex -husband was standing in his birdroom, washing the feeders, etc, when he looked up and saw what he thought was an owl in the neighbour's tree. On reflection he thought it was an unusual color and that it was perched unusually low down in the tree, so he went to have a closer look. And you probably guessed it - there was Merlin, stuck in the fork of the tree - obviously his magic failed him this time. He probably decided to go hunting for some tasty chicken (I mean bird) and slipped and fell - he was known to be a clumsy cat. Anyway, there was great celebration when my ex brought him into the house - there lots of tears when we thought he was gone. |
| My Hobbies. I am a doll collector specialising in Barbie and Family and I am concentrating on collecting their clothing sets piecemeal. - I don't rush out and buy outfits from retail stores, but choose rather to buy them up from kids tired of playing Barbies, or from charity shops and garage sales. I also enjoy making clothes for Barbie - most of them end up in my daughter's toy box, but some of them remain in my own collection. I also make a lot of clothes, displayed on card and covered in cellaphane, to give to my daughter's friends when they have birthdays. A good quality, lasting gift at very little expense. |

| Don't you think Merlin is a stunning cat? I will regale some stories of his antics on later pages of my site. He is dead now - killed by a damn dog. I miss him terribly and have not found space in my heart for another cat yet. Go Merlin's Photo Album and feast your eyes. |
