One night, Spike the Marl, was walking along the shores of sampetra, he was digging in the sand with his sbare and chugging back grog, minding his own business, he looked over to see 15 ferrets walking off the shores of sampetra, with gold, weapons and supplies. He noticed that the ship they were boarding wasn't one in the Fleet. He looked over the hull, and found the ships name, her name was "The Waveshadow" It was the ship of excaped slaves that sailed off last season. Noone would ever expect them to come back and raid , Sampetra!
Spike the Marl looked at the taverns wher ehis crew would be, being only a Lt. Commander he was still the ship master.
He gripped his sabre tightly, and walked towards the taverns, there he saw his crew! He gathered them up, and spoke so no one else but them could hear. "Mates, I saw that ship o' slaves just a minute ago on the shores, der was a raid, now, if wez c'n get dem back fer, Emperor Ublaz to deal wid, wot yew think well get fer it?" a stoat called out "GOLD!" everyone turned to look at the beast behind the voice. Spike have them a quick savage glare and carried on, "Aye, gold, supplies, promotion! Maybe even new timber fer our ship, I tells yer, mates. Only good can come from dis, now buck up my savage buckoes and get ready to sail!".
The ferrets have gotten all they could from the shores, mostly stuff that a corsair left lying around. The captain of the ferret ship was, Lynch, he hated Ublaz the most, for he slew his wife and inslaved him, it was a leason well learned fer Lynch, but that didn't stop him. "alright, muckers, get this ship asailin', NOW!" "Cap'n, ders a ship followin' us!"
Spike and crew was coming in fast! He stood on the bow, "C'mon mates faster!"
An archer fox cam bounding up, "May I, sir?"
"Aye, set fire to it, I want this ship gone!"
The fox rounded up 10 others, setting flame to their arrows, they released, rewarded by the sight of flames on the ship's hull. "Vergance and Ikkyu, get ready to, change course do east, that will take us side by side!"
the both answered at the same time, "aye"
Spike could smell victory!
The sided the other ship, the ferrets were diving off to save their lives as Spike called down. "'ello, mateys, come aboard, we'll let yew live!"
Lynch glared up at him, "Neva, Marlfox!" Spike nodded to Jessex the Weasel, as he did Jessex notched an arrow to his bow string, waiting fer Spikes command, Spike winked and Lynch was seen no more, the water filled with blood, and ash, dead ferrets and alive ones floating in the water, they picked the alive ferrets from the water and sailed back to Sampetra.
He brought them to Ublaz, where he delt with them in his own kinda way! The next day, Spike and Ublaz were walking along the shores, watching the seagulls fight eachother over the dead ferrets that washed up on the shore, the rocks where now crimson red, Spike smiled over to Ublaz and bowed low to him,"Milord, I serve yew and only yew."
