"Revenge"
A Poem by Silkfire

There they stand,
Squabbling and chattering,
My nemesis,
My enemies,
Are before me.
Waiting for my energy to be unleashed.
These are the fire-crazy shrews
That reduced my home,
My parents,
My brothers and sisters,
To blackened ashes.

Now I stand,
Where they once stood.
My sabre is red with
The blood of my enemies.
Yet tears streak down my cheeks,
As I stand with my head lifted in triumph.
And I know not why.
All I know is:
You are avenged, my mother,
My father,
My brothers and sisters,
You are avenged.
