"Midwinter night"
A Poem by Gonflet

Ever frozen, current ceasing
River Moss in winter time
Sun is fading, dark releasing
Night's echoing ev'n chime
In the abbey, warm and happy
Safe from snow and raging wind
Feasting, singing, dancing aptly
Are the creatures snug within
Travelers trudging, cold and weary
'Til the abbey enters sight
Still the river, bleak and dreary
Reflects the moon's enchanted light
High above winds swirl unreasoned
And higher still the stars shine white
And reign their beauty from all seasons
Deep within midwinter night.
