"Bluebeard the Pirate"
A Poem by Checkerpaw

Bluebeard was an old sea dog,
The terror of the seas,
He spent his time swigging grog,
And bolting meat and cheese.

His waist was wide, his beard blue,
Scars covered his thick fur
The bloodshot eyes, there red hue,
A fearsome sight, for sure!

Bluebeard! The name struck terror,
Into the hearts of all,
And those who made that error.
Soon met with gruesome fall.

And yet his crew laughed at him,
Mocked him o'er such a lark,
For Bluebeard, cruel and grim,
Was afraid of the dark.
