My Review of Jason Newman's "Too Dark Park":
Little is known of the reclusive author of "Too Dark Park."  Either he is a literary prodigy or a reclusive master.  Whatever the case may be, all we have is the one novel.  And quite a novel it is.  Immediately drawing comparisons to John Barth, William H. Gass, and David Foster Wallace, among others, "Too Dark Park" is a story of the "Apocalypse Fever" which has gripped much of our nation.  There are many vividly drawn characters, including Jesus Christ himself, and the novel's satiric irreverence on such a subject recalls Elkin's "The Living End."  Picaresque, postmodern, and perfectly executed, "Too Dark Park" is a literary gem, sure to be enjoyed by anyone who enjoys "postmodern" and experimental literature.

*note: "Too Dark Park," like many other great experimental works, is EXTREMELY hard to find.  You will most likely not be able to find it in bookstores, and even ordering it may yield barren results.
