I am fascinated by the works of Frederich A. Hayek. Long before the development of the new scientific fields of chaos and complexity, Hayek explored aspects of emergent phenomena found in unplanned, self-organizing systems of growing complexity in human societies. It became clear that we participate in, but do not design such systems. Hayek's insights on this are highly counterintuitive, yet science has proven his insights to be true. I found myself drawn to these phenomena in many fields of knowledge as I wrote my essays.
I'm using this web site to gather them all into one place and to publish them on the Internet for your reading pleasure. I will be adding new essays as often as I can. I hope you enjoy them.
