SHAH & ANCHOR KUTCHHI ENGINEERING COLLEGE

Establishment

1. Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering college has been started with munificent donations from two main donors viz.
   • Lalji Velji Anchorwala.
   • Smt. Laxmiben Karamshi Bhujpurwala Charitable Trust.
2. Both the donors belong to the Kutchhi community and the Engineering College are beging named as per their desire.
3. The funds for the development of the Engineering College are being augmented by donation from many other philanthopic business and industrialists.
4. The Engineering College is run by Mahavir Education Trust established for development of appropriate education in technical field.
5. The Engineering College is run on "no grant" basis and is affiliated to The University of Bombay
6. Mahavir Education Trust has also established Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Polytechnic at Chembur which conducts Diploma Courses. It was inagurarated by on 27th August, 1983 by Late Shri Vasantraodada Patil, the then Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Location, Environment and Building

Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College is located on Dr.Chotiram Godwani Marg,Chembur at a distance of about one and half km. on the west of Chembur Railway Station. The College may be reached by three minutes walk from R.KStudio Bus Stop. It is bounded by Dukes Company and Deonar BEST Depot. Number of bus routes are available from Dadar,Bandra,Geregaon,Sakinaka,Govandi and Kurla Stations.
 

All Laboratries,Class Rooms,Drawing Hall,Students room,Sports Hall, Administrative Office are situated in a six stored building of the College.

Courses Conducted

The Engineering College was started in July, 1984 with the permission of the Government of Maharastra. It is affiliated to The University of Bombay & Offers following courses for the four year duration leading to the degree of Bachelor of Engineering, available for the students passing minimum H.S.C. (XIIth Std.) Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education.

• IT Engineering.
