Lady Youth Activities
Future activities to be undertaken in Dec 2001
Global Akhanda Bhajan was celebrated on 11th November 2001 in the following Samithis: Sai Darshan, Sai Geetanjali, Malleswaram, Brindavan, Koramangla, and Bangalore West. The youth participated actively with great enthusiasm.
Painting and repair work of temples
Repair works and painting of the Kasi Vishwanatha temple in Kadugodi village and the Renuka Swami temple in Segahalli were carried out.
Sathya Sai Mahotsavam
On December 3rd 2001, a grand function was organised and conducted by the outh at the Kasi Viswanatha temple in Kadugodi village, Bangalore. A beautifully decorated portrait of Swami was taken in a procession accompanied by the continuous chanting of Sai Gayathri and singing of devotional bhajans. A fully decorated elephant was the special attraction in the procession. The whole event was also marked with a colourful display of fireworks.
Lady Youth Activities
The lady youth activities of Bangalore conducted sports meets in various schools across Bangalore. Food distribution activities were also organised by the lady youth on Bhagawan's Birthday in many schools in Bangalore city.
The Bangalore youth undertook Grama Seva in Valepura village on December 16th 2001. The Grama Seva started with Sai Bhajans at the local temple followed by a free medical camp where around 260 patients were treated. Physical work involving extensive repairs to the main drainage in the village, clearing the wild growth of parthenium grass around the creche constructed for village children and also repairs to the main road in the village were carried out. In addition, Narayana Seva involving distribution of around 1000 food packets was also conducted. "Mane-Mane Sai Nama" and "Sathya Sai Pallaki Utsavam" were celebrated with great fanfare and devotion. The Grama Seva concluded with Maha Mangalaarathi to Bhagawan.
Avathar day was celebrated by the youth on October 20th 2001 by conducting various activities. These included Narayana Seva at the village primary school in Segahalli, and Narayana Seva and Bhajans at Shani Mahatma temple at Allala Sandra village. Distribution of sweets and Narayana Seva were also organised at the orphanage in Kammanahalli.
