             Garden Party at Clingre House

This is the next major event and it is important that parishioners support it. It will commence at 2 pm on Saturday 15th June at Obre’s house and finish at 5 pm. There are a number of stalls that need support and a list is in the porch for people to indicate where they can provide items for stalls etc. A box is also in the porch for items towards the children’s tombola. There are also some empty flower pots in the porch – can you please take one, decorate it and bring it back full of something (sweets, small toiletries, crayons etc) for selling (ensure that the pot is covered in clingfilm to stop items falling out). These need to be returned by Sunday 9th June so we know how many have been completed.

Bingo – the next bingo session will be on Saturday 13th July in the Church Hall commencing at 7.30 pm

Beckham, Buddha and the Beatitudes – a workshop on spirituality and youth culture run by Nigel Pimlott from Frontier Youth Trust. This is part of a Diocesan Young Adult Day which will also look at setting up a Youth Forum for the Diocese. The event will take place on Sat 6th July between 11 am and 4 pm (drinks from 10.30 am) at Alexander House, 160 Pennywell Road, Bristol for young people aged 16 to 25. Please bring some food to share. More information from Gabi at the Youth Service on Tel: 0117 902 5594 or email: youth.worker@cliftondiocese.com

Glastonbury Pilgrimage – This will take place on Sunday 14th July.  Further details on the notice board or from Father Vincent.

Stroud Area Victim Support – Volunteers are urgently needed for the Dursley & Cam area for this worthwhile task, supporting the victims of crime. Travelling and telephone expenses are paid and a comprehensive training given.  Anyone interested who would like to know more please contact: Obre Arundell on Dursley 542410

Adoption: Could you adopt a child or children? There are currently more children needing permanent families. If you would like information, please contact the Catholic Children’s Society, Tel: 0117 9734253. The Society is committed to finding families for children and works with people of any faith or none.
