Asteroid - Voyager tries to help the Nezu destroy the asteroids before they hit the planet; the first asteroid fragments and impacts in the central desert on the largest continent of the Nezu planet; the next asteroid will impact in the heavily populated eastern coastal region; Voyager detects 12 more asteroids heading toward the planet; the asteroids are composes of artificial materials; Voyager discovers that one of the asteroids is actually a ship whose shields had been remodulated to fool Voyager's sensors; the Etanian order used the asteroids to try to get the Nezu to evacuate their planet so that the Etanian order could then come and claim the planet as their own. Rise)

Auto-ascent sequencer - Since the carriage was launched ahead of schedule, the auto-ascent sequencer is still offline so they will have to control their ascent manually. (Rise)

Carbon dioxide poisoning - Everyone on the carriage except Tuvok begins showing signs of carbon dioxide poisoning. (Rise)

Carriage - The carriage on the orbital tether is lifted by using magnetic leverage; the carriage was damaged during the impact of the last asteroid; Neeix says that he has helped rebuild a dozen Maglev carriages; on Rinax, after finishing a carriage, they would always give it a name for good luck; Neelix names the carriage Alixia after his favorite sister; later Neelix admits that the carriages he worked on weren't working carriages but only one-tenth scale models that were identical to the maglev carriages. (Rise)

Central desert - One of the asteroids impacts in the central desert region on the planet; this is located on the largest continent about 500 kilometers from the southern tip. (Rise)

Data storage device - Tuvok finds the data storage device that Dr. Vatm hid in the internal circuitry on the roof of the carriage; Sklar takes the device after he pushes Tuvok off the side; it contains tactical information about an alien starship including info on weapons, warp drive, and shield modulations; Voyager uses the info from the device to disable the Etanian ship. (Rise)

Eastern coastal region - The next asteroid to hit the Nezu planet will impact in the eastern coastal region on the same continent; this region is heavily populated with over 500 citizens. (Rise)

Electrodynamic turbulence - The shuttle encounters electrodynamic turbulence causing it to lose main power. (Rise)

Emergency containment grid - Neelix says that he doesn't know where the emergency containment grid on the carriage is. (Rise)

Equatorial dust shrouds - Alixia showed Neelix the equatorial dust shrouds. (Rise)

Etanian Order - The Etanian Order arrives at the Nezu planet and claims it as their territory; they remodulated the shields of their ship to fool sensors into thinking the ship was an asteroid; their ship has a crew complement of at least 2000; the Etanian Order invade other worlds by creating what appears to be a natural disaster and when the population evacuates, they arrive and stake their claim; Dr. Vatm learned about the Etanians and collected info about their starship and was trying to get the info to the Nezu ambassador; Voyager is able to use the information to disable the Etanian ship. (Rise)

Halla - Lillias's sister; Lillias hasn't seen her sister since their home was destroyed 3 weeks earlier; Halla is found later. (Rise)

Hanjuan (Geof Prysirr) - A Nezu miner at the nearby galicite excavation; he has information about the asteroids that he wants to tell to the ambassador. (Rise)

Induction coils - The induction coils of the orbital tether are offline; Neelix wants to replace the coils with attitude control thrusters from the shuttle. (Rise)

Lillias (Lisa Kaminir) - Lillias is a foundry worker on the Nezu planet; she agrees to help get the orbital tether operational; she has a sister called Halla; Lillias's home was destroyed 3 weeks earlier after the first asteroid impact; she hasn't seen her sister since then; Lillias sister is found later. (Rise)

Lydroxide corrosive - This is a coolant used in the tether couplings; Vatm was poisoned when someone put this in the water supply. (Rise)

Maglev carriages - Neelix says that he has helped rebuild a dozen Maglev carriages; Neelix tells Lillias that they whenever they would finish a tether on Rinax, they would name the carriage for good luck; he names the carriage Alixia after his favorite sister. (Rise)

Maglev cohesion - The carriage is losing maglev cohesion; Neelix says that increasing the carriage's velocity should stabilize their ascent and keep them from going into a freefall. (Rise)

Millibars - A unit of measure; after the tether has been launched, the internal atmospheric pressure is 700 millibars. (Rise)

Mineralogical scan - The mineralogical scan of the asteroid fragment reveals that the fragment is composed of tryoxene, olivine, and triadium. (Rise)

Nezu - Voyager help the Nezu by trying to destroy the asteroids that are heading toward their planet; the Nezu have 5 colonies on the planet. (Rise)

Nezu ambassador (Alan Oppenheimer) - The ambassador is on Voyager to get Voyager's help in destroying the asteroids heading toward the Nezu planet. (Rise)

Occipital concussion - Neelix sustains an occipital concussion after Sklar pushes him off the balcony; Tuvok says that he is unable to treat this because he has limited knowledge of Talaxian physiology. (Rise)

Olivine - A mineralogical scan of the asteroid fragment reveals that the fragment is composed of tryoxene, olivine, and triadium. (Rise)

Orbital tether - The orbital tether is used to lift cargo from the surface to the supply station; it uses magnetic leverage to lift the carriage; the tether is 300 kilometers long and would take 12 hours to reach the station; Neelix says that he was on a tether maintenance team on Rinax; Neelix wants to use the tether to leave the ionsphere and get above the interference so that they can contact Voyager. (Rise)

Oxygen converters - The oxygen converters on the carriage have been damaged when they launched the tether and won't produce enough oxygen for 6 people; they try to augment the converters in order to have enough oxygen for the trip up the tether. (Rise)

Rinax - Neelix says that he was on a tether maintenance team on Rinax. (Rise)

Shuttlecraft - The away team takes a shuttle down to the Nezu planet; the shuttle encounters electrodynamic turbulence and its warp drive, impulse engines, and comm systems are damaged when it is forced to land; Torres gave Neelix a full orientation on shuttlecraft systems. (Rise)

Sklar (Kelly Connell) - A Nezu exogeologist; he accompanies Tuvok and Neelix on the shuttle; he despises closed spaces and needles; Sklar injures Neelix by pushing him off the balcony; then he climbs on the roof and pushes Tuvok off the roof and takes the data storage device; Sklar and Tuvok struggle and Sklar falls out of the carriage and is killed; Sklar had killed Dr. Vatm to prevent Vatm from giving the Nezu ambassador the information about the alien starship that was contained in the data storage device. (Rise)

Tether - SEE: Orbital tether. (Rise)

Toroidal antenna - Tuvok sends Neelix outside to inspect the toroidal antenna to see if any of the signal relays are damaged. (Rise)

Touth - Alixia showed Neelix the caves of Touth. (Rise)

Triadium - A mineralogical scan of the asteroid fragment reveals that the fragment is composed of tryoxene, olivine, and triadium; triadium is an alloy; the source of the triadium is an control node for a guidance system in the asteroid. (Rise)

Triox compound - Tuvok gives everyone on the carriage a triox compound to help oxygenate their blood. (Rise)
