Q

Q (John de Lancie) - Janeway says that every Starfleet captain has been briefed about Q ever since his appearances on the Enterprise; Q "introduced" the Borg to the races of the Alpha Quadrant; Q tries to convince Janeway not to grant Quinn asylum; Q was once accused of being mentally unstable and disciplined for inappropriate behavior but his record has been expunged; he gives Quinn Nogatch hemlock so that Quinn may commit suicide. (Deathwish) Q tells Janeway that he has chosen her to be the mother of his child; Q creates a tattoo over half his face in order to have a bigger tattoo than Chakotay; he asks Paris and Kim for advice about how to convince Janeway to have his child; he tells Janeway that he is lonely; he has been involved with Miss Q for 4 billion years; Q takes Janeway to the continuum and shows her the civil war that is occuring among the Q; he and Janeway are sentenced to death by the Q general; he pleads to the general to spare Janeway's life; he mates with Miss Q and has a son; he says that fatherhood agrees with him; Q asks Janeway to be his son's godmother. (The Q and the Grey) Humans first encountered the Borg when Q flung the Enterprise into the path of a Borg cube. (Scorpion, Part 1)

Q2 - SEE: Quinn

Q baby - Q and Miss Q mate and have a baby Q; Q asks Janeway to be the baby Q's godmother. (The Q and the Grey)

Q Continuum - Q says that Quinn is a threat to the Q Continuum; his death will cause an interruption to the Continuum and change the very nature of Q; the Continuum will return Voyager to Earth if Janeway rules in their favor. (Deathwish) Quinn's death caused a disruption in the continuum and caused a civil war among the Q when some of the Q fought for freedom and individualism; Miss Q gets Voyager into the Q continuum when they are sucked into the negative density false vacuum created by the explosion when a star goes supernova; the Q are way beyond sex; they always existed; the Q can only mate with a species capable of copulation. (The Q and the Grey)

Q female - SEE: Miss Q. (The Q and the Grey)

Q general (Harve Presnell) - The Q general sentences Q and Janeway to death; he calls for a cease fire when he is captured by Paris. (The Q and the Grey)

Quantum level analysis - After running a quantum level analysis, Voyager discovers that some type of divergance field has caused every part of matter on Voyager to be doubled. (Deadlock)

Quantum mechanics - As a kid Janeway prefered studying quantum mechanics to gardening. (Resolutions)

Quantum singularity - A quantumm singularity is a star that has collapsed in on itself; Voyager encounters a type 4 singularity which sent out strong spatial distortions; Torres figures out that setting up a localized damping field around the external sensors might allow Voyager to clear up the transmissions from the ship that is caught in singularity. (Parallax) Voyager sees dozens of bioships appearing out of the quantum singularity in the Northwest Passage. (Scorpion, Part 1) The relay station is using a quantuum singularity as a power source; the singularity is only about a centimeter in diameter but is putting out almost 4 terrawatts of energy; Voyager boost the effects of the singularity by weakening the relay station's containment field with an anti-thoron burst; this causes the Hirogen ships to be pulled into the singularity. (Hunters)

Quantum slipstream - The Dauntless has a quantum slipstream drive; Seven says that the quantum slipstream drive is similar to the transwarp drive of the Borg; SEE: Slipstream. (Hope and Fear)

Quarantine - Voyager sets up a Level 4 quarantine of the Deck 2 after the Doctor discovers that the crew in the Mess Hall have been infected (Macrocosm); The Doctor quarantines Janeway in sickbay to prevent the spread of the Phage. (Coda)

Quark (Armin Shimerman) - Ferengi male; he is the bartender at DS9 that tries to swindle Harry Kim into buying Lobi crystals. (Caretaker)

Quarren (Henry Woronicz) - Quarren works at the Museum of Kyrian Heritage; he discovers a backup copy of the Doctor and activates it to learn more about Voyager; he tells the Doctor that he wants to know what really happened 700 years ago during the war between the Vaskans and the Kyrians; Quarren died 6 years later. (Living Witness)

Quinn (Gerrit Graham) - He is a Q; when Torres tries to beam a sample of the comet aboard, Quinn is beamed aboard instead; Quinn was being held captive by the Q Continuum inside the comet; Quinn wants the Continuum to grant him mortality so that he may commit suicide; Quinn was known in the continuum as one of its greatest philosophers; he impacted the lives of Sir Isacc Newton, Marty Ginsberg and Colonel Thaddeus Riker; Quinn has not had contact with anyone for the last 3 centuries; Q says that Quinn created the misunderstanding that ignited the 100 year war between the Romulans and the Vulcans; after Janeway grants him asylum aboard Voyager, Quinn kills himself by ingesting Nogatch hemlock that Q gave him. (Deathwish) Quinn's death caused a disruption in the continuum and caused the civil war among the Q when some of the Q fought for freedom and individualism. (The Q and the Grey)
