Gravimetric field - When Voyager is still 2 light years away from the relay station, they begin encountering gravimetric forces; the forces must be coming from a very powerful energy source since they are detecting it from so far away; the power source of the gravimetric field is a quantuum singularity. (Hunters)

Hirogen - The Hirogen capture Tuvok and Seven; Seven says that the Hirogen are a crude species and that only their size makes them formidable; the Hirogen ships have some sort of monotanium armor plating; according to Tuvok, the Hirogen are extremely dangerous and they seem to lack any moral center. (Hunters)

Pon Farr - Tuvok's son, Sek, has undergone pon farr and has taken a mate. (Hunters)

Quantum singularity - The relay station is using a quantuum singularity as a power source; the singularity is only about a centimeter in diameter but is putting out almost 4 terrawatts of energy; Voyager boost the effects of the singularity by weakening the relay station's containment field with an anti-thoron burst; this causes the Hirogen ships to be pulled into the singularity. (Hunters)

Relay stations - The bulk of the transmission that Starfleet sent to Voyager is lodged in one of the relay stations of the sensor network; the relay station is 3.8 light years away from Voyager; the stations extend almost all the way to the Alpha Quadrant; Voyager encounters gravimetric forces from the relay station when they are still 2 light years away; the radiometric decay ratios of the station indicate that it is at least 100,000 years old; the station is using a quantuum singularity as a power source; after Voyager directs an anti-thoron burst at the singularity, the energy released from the singularity causes a massive discharge along the relay network and disables every one of the stations. (Hunters)
