| ======================= DYE FAST TEST FOR YARN ======================= § If I have yarns that I'm uncertain of for dye fastness, I needle weave a strand into an old white hankie of my hubby's and let it soak in warm soapy water and see if it runs or bleeds. If it does, then I won't use the yarn at all, or keep it for a one colour fabric that is washed separately. Simple and gets the answer you need before you go to all that work. Susan Harvey § |
