Sri
Karunamayi
Sri Karunamayi is a great
sage and saint, considered by many to be the incarnation of Saraswati, the
Mother of Creation and the Goddess of Knowledge, Speech, and the Arts.
She grew up in a spiritual family, and was always charitable, knowledgeable, and
insightful beyond her years. She emerged from deep meditations and long
spiritual preparation out into the world in 1995. In her profound love and
compassion, Karunamayi dedicates herself to relieving physical and spiritual
suffering through teaching and humanitarian work. She has founded a free school,
built a free one hundred-bed hospital, as well as clinics for the poor in South
India. She also supplies them free meals and medical camps. She embodies the
values of selfless service, spiritual beauty, and compassion.
She says, "Divine Mother is the mother for this entire universe, from a tiny ant
to Lord Brahma Himself. She is all-pervading, and She is shining brilliantly in
the secret chambers of your heart. To become one with Mother, learn to love
everything in Her Creation, all the creatures, even the small grass blades."
Karunamayi travels between Europe, America, and India teaching the most
effective means of spiritual progress for seekers on their particular path to
God. Her emphasis is spiritual practice and experience. For those with a desire,
she teaches the knowledge of Vedic chants and mantras, and provides material to
train her devotees in these powerful forms of ritual prayer. Her voice is
remarkable for its sweetness and beauty, often compared to a nightingale. It is
said that listening to it feels like one is being showered with nectar.
Her goal is to revive Sanatana Dharma, sometimes called Eternal Law, where
society is in balance and at peace based on each individual's alignment with the
cosmic force that upholds evolution. In addition to her teachings and charity
work, Karunamayi's performance of the sacred ceremonies from India's ancient
spirituality helps promote world peace and our well-being.
