Dustin Rhodes and
Barry Windham. I was a bigger Arn Anderson Fan, but I remember being
impressed with Dustin |
The Freebirds defeating
the Silver Kings. |
Wow. Brian Pillman
AND Jushin Liger Teaming up to defeat Chris Mother*f*in' Benoit and
Beef Wellington. Pillman ruled back then and I was *such* a Jushin
Liger mark at the time...

Come on...I was a
HUGE Steiner mark. NOTE: I'm so otaku at the time that you'll notice
I'm one of THE only people with a sign. |
Steiners baby. I remember
this was a steiner return night. The night they wrestled was to be
the first night in something like a year or so. They had come back
to wrestle in the tournament and Jesse Ventura was the big announcer
who got to introduce them again for the fans.
|
Great shot of the
Steiners and Steve Williams. I just remember what stiff monsters Steve
Williams and Terry Gordy were. There were almost EXACTLY the same
characters as today's APA. Monster, stiff, huge brawlers who'll get
the job done.

I did love Madusa
at the time, I mean, come on, it's 1992, she's hot, and you *know*
she'll go for the guy with the hot pink sign...right? Don't chicks
dig signs? No? You sure? |
I swear on my life
that the front of this sign says "Jesse for President".
If I get my hands on a copy of the Clash, I'll know for sure, but
I seem to remember that this was just after he'd been elected Mayor
of his small town, and I had thought it'd be funny to promote higher
aspirations on my sign. I wish I had a shot of the front of it. Then
I'd know for sure.
