But the filk is still mine. DATA THE ANDROID Data the Android Was a not-so-jolly soul With his duranium frame and his plastic skin And his eyes a-glowing gold. Data the Android Didn't have a soul they say. He was cold as snow But his shipmates know What he did for them that day. There must have been some magic in that emotion chip he found For when he placed it in his head, he began to sing and shout Oh, Data the Android, was as functional as he could be And his shipmates say he could save the day Just the same as old James T. Data the Android saw the battle hot that day So, he said, "Be brave, this good ship I'll save," As the Captain beamed away Over to the Warbird with a phaser in his hand Making Remans fear, running there and here As their castles turned to sand.
