THE BEST MAN
The Human blinked and smiled politely at his inquisitor. Solok was enjoying his
morning audience. Half of Starbase 423's cafeteria had gathered to watch him destroy
his Human rival.
He paced in front of the table, stabbing his finger at the Human for emphasis. "Do
you deny that Vulcans are superior to Humans in strength and agility?" he demanded.
"No."
"In self-control and intellectual pursuits?"
"No."
"Then, you acknowledge that we Vulcans are superior to you Humans!" Solok
exclaimed in triumph.
Alex Sawalha sipped his coffee and considered the argument. "Maybe," he
admitted finally. "But I'm still screwing your ex-wife."
