DOUBLE BIND
Archer sat at the head of the table, thinking of Tandaran internment camps and Suliban
raids, watching the diplomats scream at each other.
"They destroyed everything!" General Grat cried. "They took whatever they wanted
and burned the rest!" He pointed a shaking finger at the Suliban ambassador. "And you
expect us to make peace with them?"
"My wife and children died in your internment camps," the Suliban spat. "Peace is the
last thing I want from the likes of you!"
"Yes," Archer agreed. Both Tandaran and Suliban started and looked at him. "I think
you've trained each other admirably well."
