Description; the Silver Centurion armor brought to glorious life!

The amazing armor from 'Iron Man 200' is reproduced as a 6 1/2" tall figure.  It sports a ton o' articulation and has a VERY detailed sculpt with tons of vents and panel lines.  In addition, the figure has pumped-up gauntlets, boots, back-pack, and even a larger chest-plate to go with the bulkier armor.

SC Iron Man comes with a detachable rocket that attaches to his waist and shoulders.
Poor Iron Man.  Granted, his worries aren't as bad as Peter Parker, but this guy cannot get a break.  His origin involves getting a chunk of metal shoved by his heart.  Then he's an alcoholic.  Later he's been brainwashed by Kang... or something, anyway he gets killed by his younger self... let's just forget that.  THEN his armor becomes sentient and almost kills him, and NOW he's the Secretary of Defense???!?!?!?!!!  Talk about karma kicking your butt!  Personally, the most brutal moment this guy faced was the loss of Stark Industries to Obadiah Stane.  He lost EVERYTHING; house, company, armor... everything.  And keep in mind, unlike Daredevil's 'Born Again', this total obliteration of Stark's life took YEARS to achieve rather then the six some-odd issues of Miller's and Michelinie's seminal (Ooohhhhhhhh, SAT word.  Look it up, it'll make you look cool to use it in a sentence.) mini-series.  So what happens when you go from billionaire industrialist to broke?  You keep going down... and down... until you're homeless and almost freeze to death.  Granted, getting your invulnerable butt beaten to death by a 1000 lb space-monster bites... but loosing your world like THIS eats at your soul.

So what do you do to dig out of the pit?  You go slow... day by day, bit by bit and understand who you are.  That's what Stark did over the issues as he created 'Circuits Maximus' and slooooooooowly built a new suit of armor... and tried to get his life together.  Years of insanity and hell came to a head in Iron Man 200 when Stane THINKS he's applied the last straw to shatter Stark's psyche.  Instead Stark dons the newest suit of armor, goes to New York to kick Stane's bald butt, and reminds us why he goes by 'The Crimson Avenger'.  So is this armor worth waiting 200 issues?  Well, I've gushed about it twice so far.
First a bit about Iron Man 200, then a Toy Hype article, so it better!

Meat and potatoes... ya know, you're probably thinking 'Ok, you took the other Iron Man figures and just repainted it red and silver'.  Not quite.  As far as 're-using' the first IM body, well you could probably make the argument the body was already used for Magneto and Capt. America anyway.  However, this ISN'T just a repainted IM figure; a ton of extras were sculpted to the body to give it the bulkier look of the Silver Centurion armor.  Shoulder pads, larger gauntlets and boots, and even a beefed-up shoulder to go with the backpack are sculpted to the piece.  In addition, the level of detail is much higher, with a ton o' panel lines added to every inch of the figure, even the sole's of IM's feet!  Sweet!

Perks are pretty cool.  The suit could achieve low-earth orbit in the comic, and this time he's packed with a large booster rocket which can be easily attached to IM's back.  The booster has a belt and shoulder harness sculpted in the same style as the armor to give it a sense of a seamless connection.  Another nice touch is the rocket can be mounted on to a wall, giving you a nice mid-air display option.  Woohoo!  And like the other IM figures, the faceplate is removable.  This time, however, the plastic is softer, so it seems to hold on to the face better.

Homer factor?  To borrow a line from 'This is Spinal Tap' this Homer factor should go up to 11.

In the end this is as close to the perfect Iron Man figure as you'll get.  An amazing sculpt and articulation to go with a fun, unexpected, but logical accessory combine to form an amazing figure.  Now if only there was an Iron Monger figure to go with it...
