Thomas P. McNeill was one of the sons of Sampson Stuart McNeill.

BORN: December 28, 1826, Point Pleasant, Ohio.
DIED: 1909.

Amelia Jane Utter

DIED: 1854.

Amelia Jane Utter was the daughter of Lavina Cockrell and John Utter, who were married April 7, 1830. Lavina Cockrell was born in 1813. John Utter, born in 1811, was the son of Joseph Utter. Joseph Utter was a Revolutionary War veteran and early Ohio pioneer. John Utter's mother was Margaret Doty, probably a descendant of the Mayflower.

Thomas and Amelia were married in 1848.

Thomas and Amelia had three children, only one of whom survived. Lamira and Thomas died as infants and were buried together with their mother. Grief stricken at the burial, young William reportedly tried to climb into the grave with them.

Children of Thomas and Amelia:

1. Lamira McNeill, born 1849 in Clermont County, Ohio. Died in 1854.
   
2. Thomas McNeill, born 1850 in Clermont County, Ohio. Died in 1854.
   
3. Willaim McNeill, born October 19, 1852, in Clermont County, Ohio. Died January 23, 1892.
