SERVING THE SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY OF ROY, NEW MEXICO __

Roy is one of New Mexico's best kept secrets. It isn't  on a major highway. The railroad doesn't come through anymore, and most tourists find themselves there by accident. But what a terrific accident it can turn out to be. I was fortunate to spend three years in Roy, ('69-'70-'71) serving as band director in the local school.

The town and the people in it gave me more than I can ever thank them for, and this small website in their honor is my attempt to repay a great debt. It will take a little time to build. I hope that the residents and former residents of the community will help to spread the word by contributing information and anecdotes to this site.

Anyone wishing to contribute: alumni address lists, pictures, stories, history, reminiscences, etc., please contact me, Jerry Phillips, at  jphil66@plateautel.net  522 Walnut, Clayton, NM

A sincere 'thank you' to the people of Roy, N.M.
