The Knight Banneret

The Knight Banneret was a distinguished knight. He had earned the right to become a captain of knights. The tails were cut from his pennon to form a rectangle banner when he was promoted in battle. His banner was now carried into battles as the rallying point of the knights he commanded. The Knight Banneret may replace the pennon on his lance with a banner 2' by 3' after he has completed his vigil.

The following must be completed to become a Knight Banneret:
    1. Participate in six tournaments.
    2. Acquire your own high impact tournament armor.
    3. Serve in a special capacity appointed by the Head of State in at least one event.
    4. Sponsor one new page into your household.
    5. Tutor a squire into knighthood. (A blue ribbon three inches wide and 4 feet long will be hung from the top of the Banneret's lance. A gold lion rampant 3 inches long be painted upon the ribbon for each squire tutored into knighthood.)
    6. Complete the Royal Ranger LTC or an equivalent ministry training course for your denomination.
    7. Select a Scripture and a Bible character that you think represents the ideal of the Knight, Banneret. Memorize the Scripture and explain your Bible example.
    8. Complete a Banneret Vigil ordered and conducted by the Head of State or his emissary.
Privileges of Advancement

The Knight Banneret makes the step from Nobility to Peerage. This involves the Noble completing all the requirements for advancement and the completion of the Vigil. The Vigil is conducted under the auspices of the Head of State. The Peer is entitled to wear a 3/4 inch coronet with six of the appropriate emblems spaced equally around the perimeter. It is possible and even encouraged to become a Guildmaster in more than one Guild. The coronet may display as many as twelve different Guild emblems. The Knight Banneret wears a white belt.
